Študentská Apartment

Dear guests, welcome to our cozy and modern apartment with a separate fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet, high-speed internet, internet and digital TV. The advantage of this apartment is FREE PARKING. The apartment is located 100 m from the city center, 10 minutes walk from the bus and train station. The accommodation is also suitable for families with children, including a crib and high chair or baby bath for your little one upon request.

It is equipped to accommodate 5 people or an additional person on an extra bed. You will definitely find your comfort in this spacious and unique apartment.

Space

The building where the apartment is located is situated on the corner of Študentská Street and Andreja Hlinku Street. The main front entrance is from Študentská Street, entrance No. 13. From the building, you can also exit through the back to a closed grassy courtyard as well as a closed parking lot. In the apartment, you will also find a work corner for working from home, with high-speed connection. With our internet and digital TV, you can enjoy your favorite movies and programs.

The TV transmission service is prepaid in the range of Classic (60 TV stations, 33 radio stations), Darwin (13 reportage and documentary stations) and News Package (9 reportage stations). You can find the entire program offer as well as the WiFi access card on the table in the living room.

Our apartment is also friendly to families with children. We try to do our best for the comfort of you and your children. You will find plenty of children’s toys, drawing supplies as well as board games for older children and adults. They are stored in the furniture set in the living room. A great benefit of staying in this apartment is that it provides free parking in a closed parking lot. This way, your car is protected throughout your stay in our apartment.

Neighborhood description

The Lilien apartment building on Študentská Street in Trnava is located in the Spiegesál district, from where you can reach the beautiful historical city center with a 5-minute walk. One of the favorite attractions for tourists is the 57 m high City Tower. Walking around the city tower is one of the popular tourist attractions.

In ideal weather, you can see as far as the foothills of the Little Carpathians. A typical symbol of the city, which once protected one of the largest medieval cities, is its fortification with a three-kilometer historical wall.

Today, it is one of the best-preserved city walls in Slovakia. The fortification, up to ten meters high in places, included four city gates and thirty-five towers. You can walk along the massive fortification even today – in the Bela IV park and also behind the Basilica of St. Nicholas on St. Nicholas Square, which dates back to the 14th century. Part of the beautiful Baroque chapel of the basilica from the 18th century is the miraculous – weeping gracious image of Our Lady of Trnava.

Artistic gems here are also two functional historical organs. Another significant cathedral is the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, which dates back to the 14th century.

An important city-forming element intended for the general public, located right in the heart of Trnava near the city tower, is Nádvorie and Malý Berlín. The core of the entire space is a pleasant inner square, which lives with a diverse program throughout the year. Malý Berlín offers a wide range of film screenings, theater performances, concerts, and much more. Another place we recommend visiting is the J. Koniarek Gallery (Kopplova Villa) where, in addition to contemporary art exhibitions, you will also find permanent exhibitions in the gallery. The Synagogue – Center for Contemporary Art is also an exhibition space, which after a complex reconstruction gained an exceptional atmosphere, as well as the Synagogue Café, located in the former Orthodox synagogue and is unique in Slovakia. The impressive space, offering refined details not only from the perspective of unique architecture but also art, is complemented by first-class coffee, homemade desserts, and tasty specialties. The synagogue underwent extensive reconstruction and already in 2010 won the award “The Most Beautiful Reconstructed Sacred Building in Slovakia”. The stylishness of the café is underlined by the inimitable atmosphere of the space.
After a full day of sightseeing, you can relax at Aquapark Trnava, which offers a 25-meter pool with swimming lanes, a relaxation pool with massage jets, a children’s pool, saunas, indoor and outdoor whirlpool. In addition, the building also includes a restaurant and a social hall. During the summer season, it also offers an outdoor swimming pool. If you are among the bohemian types, you will definitely like the functioning café and gastro life in Trnava. Trinity Square and Main Street are full of local cafés and restaurants. Whether you are tempted by the unique Thaimelner café, Bezkydov or Fefe café, the enjoyment of good coffee is guaranteed. However, they approach coffee very responsibly in the stylish Hedon establishment or in the Provençal interior of Verdon. If you plan to arrive by train or bus, be sure to have your first cup of coffee near the bus station at the Oné espresso bar, which serves coffee from its own roastery. Don’t forget one of the best restaurants in the city – Restaurant Patriot. In addition to your taste buds, your soul will also be pleased by the most beautiful location with a direct view of the Basilica of St. Nicholas.

History

1238 – Trnava became the first city in Slovakia to receive city privileges from King Béla IV.

13th–15th century – The city prospered from trade, was an important center of crafts and markets.

16th century – After the Ottoman occupation of Hungary, it became the seat of the Hungarian archbishop, which increased its religious importance.

1635 – The first university in Slovakia was established here, founded by Péter Pázmány.

18th–19th century – Trnava was an important center of education and church, later it also began to develop industrially.
